Cooperation at eye level and constant open exchange of information are a matter of course for us. As motivated as the board of directors of FAME Investments AG acts, so motivated should all our employees be. Therefore, regular training courses are on the programme so that everyone is up to date with the knowledge of our time. Especially in volatile times an absolute necessity. These training courses cover both financial and psychological topics so that responsible action can be anchored at all levels. In addition, we initiate and attend a number of events relating to finance, investment and sustainability in order to ensure that we are always up to date with the latest developments.

Principles for responsible investments.

FAME Investments AG is not only dedicated to serving its clients, but also strives for a better environment and society. As a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative (PRI), FAME was proud to contribute to the development of a more sustainable global financial system.

In the recent past, FAME has resigned itself from PRI signatory. However, we still do take environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into consideration throughout the investment process. There is a growing recognition in the financial community that effective research, analysis and evaluation of ESG issues is a fundamental part of assessing the sustainability of an investment. This analysis needs to be taken into account during asset allocation, fund selection, and portfolio construction.

United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

In line with our social responsibility approach, FAME was also proud to be a participant of the UN Global Compact, a United Nations’ call to companies to align their strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take actions that advance societal goals such as UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.

Sustainable Investments

The environmental label (UZ) is awarded by the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism (BMNT) in cooperation with the Association for Consumer Information (VKI) and generally distinguishes those products and services that represent the more environmentally friendly alternative when compared.
Since 2004, an environmental label has also been awarded to financial products, the UZ 49, which is intended to clearly identify the more sustainable or environmentally compatible investment alternative. As the oldest such seal of approval in Europe, the 4th version is currently in force and will be replaced by a new version in January 2020.
In order to be able to objectively assess the award process, the conformity of the investment policy of a financial product with the requirements of the environmental label must be certified by an independent and qualified expert. FAME Investments AG (Mag. Gerald Siegmund) is an accredited environmental label test center for sustainable financial products in accordance with UZ 49.
